Highly respected Level 3 Cricket Coach Aaron Harwood has signed to coach Willetton for another season 2010/11. This will be his 15th year as coach (10) and player (5) at the club. Aaron was a much sought after coach following his unprecedented 2nd WACA award for Senior coach of the year and his State 17’s success at the national championships winning for the first time in 31 years.
After guiding the club to a successful season last year he continued to blood young players in A grade such as Stephen Ball, Cameron Bancroft, Nick Geisler, Curtis Guglielmana, Kallan Joyce, Kallan Bond and 2nd grade Simon Makin, James Godfrey, Dane Crognale, David Cameron, James Brightmore and Satchin Narang. Five under 17’s players also made their Senior grade debuts this season in the lower grades.
There is of course some unfinished Business with the One Day and Pennant flag eluding the club despite such a successful home and away season which is the main driver behind Harwood’s re-signing.
Season 2011 promises to be an exciting year with the return of injured Chris Lagana and a young, committed group of players aiming for a Grand Final Berth.
