In a game that ebbed and flowed Joondalup were sent in to bat and were at one stage 0-155 with Willetton starring down the barrel of a 350+ total, In an incredible come-back Joondalup lost 10 – 94 with Stephen Ball taking 4-73 bowling in tandem with Reece O’Connell 1-52 through the middle session. It was once again Matthew Johnston who finished with 5-66 taking his finals series wickets haul to 13 – 118, Joondalup bowled out for 249.

Willetton lost Whetnall and Gugliemana at stumps 2-20. Needing 230 to win Willetton started solidly and were 2-80 with Elliot and Johnston putting together a 62 run partnership. However  losing Elliot 28 , O’Connell 1 and Johnston 55 in the next 30 run period saw Willetton 5-127. Wickets continued to fall without any significant partnerships and Willetton were in dyer straights at 9-160. There was a chance of an incredible comeback with Kalan Joyce 68* and Blake Hall batting for well over an hour reducing the target from 89 runs to 36. Unfortunately it was not to be and Willetton were knocked out of the Grand Final 36 runs short.
