Willetton were represented in the recent Australia cup game by Matthew Johnston and Reece O’Connell playing against NSW, it WAS Reece O’Connell’s first representative fixture being rewarded for an outstanding season to date. It was Johnston who was the star of the game however, scoring 60 and 138 as well as bowling 27 over’s collecting 1-47. It was fantastic to see Johnston prove his fitness so emphatically with an outstanding match, for O’Connell it was his first taste and hopefully the start of many more representative games.
