The West Perth Cricket Club was a foundation member of the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA), established in 1889. In 1984 the West Perth Cricket Club transferred to the Willetton area and became the Willetton District Cricket Club.
Willetton District Cricket Club’s aim is to promote cricket within the community, from juniors through to seniors, providing the opportunity to play cricket within the team environment and the traditions of cricket. Willetton District cricket club provides opportunities for players in the area to play at the highest level available in Western Australia.
Willetton District Cricket Club has elite coaches and outstanding facilities to nurture young cricketers and provide them with the best available pathway to play First Class cricket.
Recent examples of this are local products Cameron Bancroft who is the West Australian shield opener and he has been recently picked on the Australian Test tour of Bangladesh as well as in line for a home test and Simon Makin who is part of West Australia’s pace bowling line up. Current Dragon Captain Matthew Johnston has played for the Warriors and Tasmania as well as the Hobart Hurricanes/Adelaide Strikers. Brad Hogg is probably our best known current player still turning out for Willetton played for Australia in 2014 T-20 World Cup, the winning Perth Scorchers Big Bash side and the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

Our Board consists of successful businessmen and past A grade players keen to see the club continue its development of local talent, through the junior ranks and into Senior, State and International cricket.
After 2 years in position as Club President, Blake Hall (2014/15 WACA Administrator of the year) has stepped aside for Tony Brennan who is new to the board and the role.
